Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly experienced technical leader, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design and architect modules for a Wholesale Electricity Market Management System, collaborate with engineering teams, and provide technical leadership in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect modules and features for MMS applications while leading technical design discussions
• Collaborate with project and customer teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions effectively
• Mentor team members, document technical solutions, and support complex customer implementations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 8 years of professional experience in Market Management Systems or a technical lead role in the electric utility industry
• 6 years of experience with Independent System Operators or wholesale electricity market vendors
• Strong understanding of Market Management Systems, including Unit Commitment and Economic Dispatch
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins
