Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Hands-on and technically proficient, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will design, implement, and oversee complex systems while mentoring team members and ensuring high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ship complex projects by designing, implementing, reviewing, deploying, and operating them through production
• Set and maintain code-quality and design standards, providing mentorship through code reviews and feedback
• Own the architecture and technical direction of the domain, documenting decisions and managing technical debt

Required qualifications

• 8-12 years of relevant engineering experience with a focus on demonstrated impact
• Proven ability to lead in high-pressure situations, such as outages and critical deliveries
• Multi-year ownership of a significant domain with documented decision history
• Product fluency, with the ability to connect technical work to business outcomes
• Experience with AI-assisted development practices and mentoring others in this area
