Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

As a principal technical leader, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will define the architectural evolution and technical strategy for digital pharmacy platforms, ensuring high scalability and security while mentoring engineers across multiple agile squads.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the long-term technical vision and architectural roadmap for B2B and consumer platforms, focusing on microservices and API design
• Write clean, optimized code and establish engineering standards while leading rigorous code reviews and modern testing practices
• Own the reliability and performance of core platforms, diagnosing complex issues and optimizing PostgreSQL workloads on AWS

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a Tech Lead, Architect, or Staff Engineer role
• Expertise in Ruby on Rails or Python, along with proficiency in PostgreSQL, TypeScript/JavaScript, and AWS cloud infrastructure
• Proven experience in designing and scaling high-volume API-led platforms
• Exceptional ability to communicate complex architectural trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
