Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support a leading AI technology client, the remote Staff Software Engineer will manage the technical strategy and roadmap for configuration and experimentation infrastructure, focusing on building scalable systems and enhancing developer productivity in a six-month contract role.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and roadmap for configuration and experimentation infrastructure, translating team-level goals into execution plans
• Maintain and enhance the architecture for feature flagging and experimentation systems, solving complex problems directly or through collaboration
• Design and build scalable, reliable distributed infrastructure that supports high-volume experimentation and configuration workloads

Required qualifications

• Deep experience with configuration management, feature flagging, and experimentation platforms in large-scale environments
• Strong proficiency in Python, Rust, and/or Go
• Experience with container orchestration and infrastructure at scale
• 15+ years of experience in a Software Engineer role, focusing on large-scale developer infrastructure
• 3+ years of experience leading large-scale, complex projects or teams as an engineer or tech lead
