Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

To set the technical direction for endpoint agents, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain high-performance agents using Go while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance agents in Go, focusing on efficient telemetry extraction and state management
• Integrate the endpoint application with backend SaaS web application REST APIs, ensuring low resource usage
• Mentor junior engineers and explain OS behavior and architectural tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience writing idiomatic, concurrent, and performance-tuned Go code
• Strong understanding of operating systems, including memory management, file systems, and process lifecycles
• Experience developing software for distributed systems, ensuring scalability and reliability
• Familiarity with AI coding agents to accelerate development
• Experience or familiarity with EDR or EPP systems is a plus
