Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance a robust data infrastructure, the remote Staff Software Engineer will lead the Data Platform team in extending services for data insights and Machine Learning applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring other engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Extend the data platform to surface insights and support Machine Learning infrastructure
• Maintain and enhance core platform services, including data ingestion, curation, and retention
• Guide a team of engineers on high-impact projects, ensuring continuous improvement of engineering standards

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building production data systems with expertise in large-volume data pipelines
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Proven technical leadership in mentoring engineers and driving architectural decisions
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as Airflow and CI/CD for data workflows
