Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

To shape the future of project planning and tracking, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will design, implement, and support user experiences while solving scaling and user-experience challenges, focusing on customer-facing AI-powered tools.

Key responsibilities

• Build and enhance experiences for GitHub Issues and Projects, improving productivity and collaboration for users
• Contribute to the codebase and foster technical growth through research, insights sharing, and mentorship
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to define technical roadmaps and prioritize projects aligned with business objectives

Required qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline, with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, Ruby, or Python
• 5+ years of senior-level experience with React
• Experience in delivering production software and maintaining code quality
• Strong understanding of modern web stacks, including Rails and GraphQL
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
