Job Summary

Leading the technical evolution of Pinterest's Trends and Audience Insights, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will architect scalable AI-powered insights platforms and mentor engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for a unified insights platform that powers Pinterest Trends and Audience Insights
• Architect scalable data pipelines and systems to generate personalized insights from Pinterest's trend and audience signals
• Lead the delivery of high-impact roadmap initiatives, ensuring quality and safety in AI-powered capabilities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in designing large-scale data or ML-powered platforms
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools for building tools and data pipelines
• Proven experience as the product-engineering counterpart on AI-first product launches
• Strong track record of evaluating and verifying AI-assisted work for accuracy and quality
