Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

To support the growth of a SaaS platform in the tours and activities industry, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will provide technical leadership on product development, maintenance, and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on maintenance, reliability, performance, and product development work
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer pain points and operational risks while improving delivery quality
• Mentor other engineers through technical guidance, code review, and design discussions to enhance team performance

Required qualifications

• Significant experience as a senior or staff-level software engineer on product-focused teams
• Comfortable working in large, mature, or complex codebases
• Ability to balance customer needs, business priorities, technical debt, and delivery risk
• Strong experience with PHP, React, Postgres, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in improving test coverage and operational quality
