Job Summary
To provide expertise in microservices and event-driven systems, the full-time Staff Software Engineer on the Attack and User Emulation Team will design, develop, and maintain core services that simulate real-life cyber attacks, while mentoring team members and driving technical direction in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core services for offensive cybersecurity and user emulation, focusing on scalability and performance
- Own and drive end-to-end technical projects, including requirements gathering, architecture design, and deployment
- Mentor engineers on coding best practices and promote a collaborative culture within the team
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development with large-scale, distributed systems
- Expertise in an OOP-based language such as Java or Kotlin, with knowledge of API design and best practices
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Proven experience with unit testing, integration testing, and deploying services in Kubernetes
- Strong communication skills to present designs to both technical and non-technical audiences
