Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Serving as a technical lead, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design and architect modules for Wholesale Electricity Market Management applications, collaborating with engineering and project teams while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect modules and features for the Electricity Market Management System
• Lead technical design discussions and collaborate with teams to deliver effective solutions
• Own code quality and provide technical leadership in an Agile environment, mentoring developers as needed

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 8 years of professional experience in Market Management Systems or a technical lead role in the electric utility industry
• 6 years of experience with Independent System Operators or wholesale electricity market vendors
• Strong understanding of Market Management Systems, including Unit Commitment and Economic Dispatch
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Git, Maven, and Jenkins
