Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the technical direction of a squad, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will own the short and long-term technical vision, make major technical decisions, and provide mentorship while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical vision and execution for your squad, ensuring alignment with product goals
• Influence major technical decisions and improve team performance through regular design and code reviews
• Share expertise and knowledge through tech talks and effective communication with cross-functional teams

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in senior engineering roles, particularly in designing APIs and tools
• Expert-level knowledge of the Microsoft .NET technology stack (C#, .NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs) and SQL databases
• Proficiency in HTML5, JavaScript, and familiarity with Typescript and React
• Strong skills in Git, unit testing, debugging, and performance monitoring
• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field
