Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Driving technical excellence in a remote environment, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will engage in hands-on coding, architectural decision-making, and mentoring while addressing complex engineering challenges across platforms at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and resolve systemic engineering challenges, shaping technical backlogs and architecture
• Write code, debug production issues, and optimize system performance, participating in on-call rotations
• Collaborate with engineering teams and product managers to ensure effective architectural decisions and align technical work with priorities

Required qualifications

• Deep expertise in AWS and cloud-native architecture with a focus on building reliable, scalable systems
• Strong fundamentals in JVM languages, primarily Java and Kotlin, with the ability to work across languages as needed
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deployment and troubleshooting of workloads in production
• Practical experience with AI/ML engineering and fluency in AI-driven development tools
• Proven track record of delivering complex initiatives in ambiguous environments, demonstrating strong debugging instincts
