Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the mission of improving mental healthcare access, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will lead the design and implementation of systems for insurance operations, focusing on patient identification, pricing estimates, provider matching, and claims, all within a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement data-intensive, ML-powered platforms that enhance patient and provider experiences
- Mentor engineers and write high-impact code to improve the accuracy and reliability of insurance operations
- Build and maintain systems that automate eligibility checks and claims processing to support scalable operations
Required qualifications
- Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript and Python 3
- Experience with frontend technologies including React, Remix, and Next.js
- Familiarity with backend frameworks and tools such as FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Postgres
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and data processing tools like Kafka and Snowflake
- Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous problems into shipped software solutions
