Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the mission of enhancing mental healthcare access, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design and implement machine learning systems to improve clinical quality, detect healthcare claim risks, and provide real-time feedback to providers, working remotely or from offices in New York, San Francisco, or Seattle.
Key responsibilities
- Architect LLM-powered systems for reviewing clinical documentation and delivering real-time feedback to providers
- Design ML systems to identify patterns of inappropriate billing and low-quality care across healthcare claims
- Build frameworks for evaluating AI systems to ensure reliability and safety in a regulated healthcare environment
Required qualifications
- Proven experience in end-to-end product development, focusing on both backend and frontend systems
- Strong background in machine learning and AI applications, particularly in healthcare contexts
- Ability to mentor and elevate engineering practices within a growing team
- Experience with TypeScript, Python, and modern web frameworks such as React
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively
