Job Summary

Driving technical strategy for the Order Platform team, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will shape backend systems for post-checkout processes, ensuring reliability and scalability while mentoring engineers and collaborating across teams.

Key responsibilities

• Set technical strategy and oversee critical projects impacting business outcomes
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to ensure technical sustainability and manage risks
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership through code review standards and talent development

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in designing and launching scalable backend systems using Python or Kotlin
• Proven track record in developing highly available distributed systems with AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes
• Experience in defining technical plans for major features and system components
• Ability to navigate from low-level language idioms to large system architecture
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
