Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
To build and evolve a robust platform, the fully remote Staff Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack systems, focusing primarily on backend services while contributing to frontend applications and architectural decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack systems, with a focus on backend services using TypeScript/Node.js and Python
- Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions to ensure systems are scalable, maintainable, and resilient
- Support and mentor engineers through code reviews and collaborative design, while managing team operations and project execution
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in building and operating production software systems
- Strong backend expertise in TypeScript (Node.js) and Python, with experience in production-grade APIs and services
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and React for frontend development
- Experience with relational databases and managing data models in production environments
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and understanding of system design and architectural tradeoffs
