Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the design and optimization of software installation frameworks, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will work remotely to enhance Dentrix software deployment processes and improve installation experiences for diverse clients.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and reliability of InstallShield projects and features for the Dentrix desktop application
- Modernize and standardize installer infrastructure, including versioning and upgrade strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex installation-related issues
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in building Windows desktop and backend enterprise applications using C#/.NET and C++
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with package management tools, preferably InstallShield
- In-depth knowledge of Windows OS, Windows Installer (MSI), and registry/file system operations
- Experience with object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and MVVM architecture
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills related to installation and runtime behaviors
