Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on fraud and abuse mitigation, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will own and evolve billing and payment systems, ensuring reliability and compliance while mentoring team members and collaborating across functions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve billing and payment systems with an emphasis on fraud and abuse mitigation
• Work across the stack, from backend services to APIs to frontend experiences
• Mentor engineers and guide the development of testing plans, success metrics, and customer feedback integration

Required qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related technical discipline with proven experience in production software coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python
• Demonstrated experience designing and operating services on cloud platforms like Azure
• Experience with fraud and risk tooling, and identity abuse prevention techniques
• Hands-on experience building and operating Go services in high-traffic production environments
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical decisions across teams
