Job Summary
Architecting and developing core components for a Batch and Realtime Streaming platform, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data ingestion, storage, and API interfaces while ensuring high performance and data quality in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement core components for the Batch and Realtime Streaming platform, including data ingestion pipelines and API interfaces
- Collaborate with research and finance teams to ship new features for trading systems, ensuring seamless integration and usability
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability while mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in distributed computing and data infrastructure
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Go
- Experience with database technologies (Postgres, MySQL, Cassandra, DuckDB) and APIs (REST/gRPC)
- Strong focus on delivering high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented solutions
