Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Designing and building core identity and authorization components for AI security, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will work remotely to create identity models, develop authorization engines, and lead technical direction across teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Design the identity model for AI agents, including delegated actions and activity attribution
• Build the authorization engine to determine real-time agent permissions and select underlying policy technologies
• Establish trust in identities from external platforms and define continuous evaluation capabilities

Required qualifications:

• Typically 10 or more years of software engineering experience with expertise in identity, authorization, or distributed systems security
• Hands-on experience with authorization or policy systems such as Cedar, OPA, or similar engines
• Working knowledge of identity and token standards like OAuth and OpenID Connect
• Proven track record of designing scalable systems and interfaces for cross-team use
• Ability to lead technical decisions and communicate effectively across diverse audiences
