Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
To enhance internal workflows, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will embed with teams to identify bottlenecks and develop AI-driven solutions, working remotely or from the South San Francisco headquarters.
Key responsibilities:
- Embed with internal teams to map workflows and scope AI-driven solutions with measurable efficiency outcomes
- Take ownership of the full lifecycle, from discovery and prototyping to deployment and iteration of AI-powered tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create and refine technical designs and solutions, ensuring best practices in software development
Required qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or related technical field
- 8+ years of experience developing enterprise or consumer web applications, preferably with Python or Java/Spring
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs in production, including prompt engineering and development workflows
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with non-engineering stakeholders to translate business problems into software solutions
- Strong judgment regarding AI applications in a healthcare context, balancing benefits and risks
