Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Driving the design and delivery of scalable document management systems, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer will lead technical initiatives in OCR and text extraction, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and mentor junior engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Set technical direction for document content extraction and transformation, establishing scalable and secure systems on AWS
- Design and implement event-driven architectures and production-grade applications using C#/.NET and OCR technologies
- Mentor engineers and collaborate closely with product management to translate requirements into technical solutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production-grade applications at scale on cloud platforms
- 5+ years in technical leadership roles utilizing OCR technologies
- Expert proficiency in C#/.NET, OCR technologies (e.g., Tesseract, Apryse), and event-driven architectures
- Experience developing on cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and with Kafka or similar event streaming platforms
