Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of a Marketplace Health Engine, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design and deliver scalable systems, mentor engineers, and drive technical strategy in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Data, and Operations to address marketplace challenges and improve efficiency
- Lead technical initiatives across multiple teams and influence key decisions without direct authority
- Drive projects from discovery and design through implementation, launch, and post-launch support
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in building scalable distributed systems
- Experience designing and building backend services, APIs, and data-intensive systems, preferably in AWS
- Proven ability to solve complex marketplace or large-scale operational problems with measurable impact
- Experience collaborating effectively with Product and Data teams to deliver business outcomes
- Strong communication skills to align technical and non-technical stakeholders around a shared vision
