Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the technical strategy and execution of storage infrastructure initiatives, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design and build scalable online structured data storage systems while collaborating in a hybrid work environment with in-office requirements of 1-2 times per month.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to a team focused on building reliable and cost-efficient storage systems at scale
- Lead the architecture and design of online structured storage services that support SQL and graph workloads
- Drive modernization initiatives for the storage tech stack, enhancing reliability, scalability, and developer velocity
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of hands-on backend software engineering experience in large-scale distributed systems
- Experience in building and managing core infrastructure systems, particularly in online structured data storage
- Strong understanding of distributed SQL or NoSQL databases, or large-scale graph data stores
- Demonstrated technical leadership in defining technical direction and driving execution across teams
