Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time contract Staff Software Engineer focused on Data Platform, this remote position will provide technical leadership, design and develop scalable data solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in the healthcare technology sector.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and serve as a subject-matter expert across software engineering and data platform initiatives
- Design and develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performing software and data solutions using modern engineering practices
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers while promoting strong engineering practices across the team
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
- 10+ years of professional software engineering or data engineering experience
- 5+ years in a technical leadership, architecture, staff-level, or thought leadership capacity
- Advanced experience with Apache Spark and Big Data engineering
- Strong hands-on programming experience with Python and Scala
