Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Owning complex, loosely defined projects, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design and build backend services and APIs for grading operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services, APIs, and data models for internal applications used by grading and authentication teams
- Mentor team members through design and code reviews while contributing to frontend application development using JavaScript and Vue.js
- Collaborate with Product, Tech, and Operations teams to translate business requirements into technical designs across backend and frontend systems
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend systems and some frontend development
- 5+ years of strong proficiency in C# and .NET
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and service integrations
- Hands-on experience with cloud services, container orchestration, and serverless architectures
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience writing automated tests for production services
