Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Providing technical leadership for the Range Against the Machine team, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design, automate, and maintain reusable virtual-machine templates and cyber ranges while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Set technical direction for reusable cyber ranges, balancing realism, security, and performance
- Improve Ansible and Packer architecture for modular and secure configuration management
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex virtual networks and systems, ensuring operational integrity
Required qualifications
- 6-8 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Experience in designing and automating complex infrastructure or cybersecurity environments
- Advanced networking and troubleshooting skills across various technologies
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux administration
- Production experience with Ansible, Packer, and virtualization platforms
