Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Experienced software engineers will find a full-time hybrid opportunity as a Staff Software Engineer, responsible for taking technical ownership of significant areas of the platform, designing and operating core services, and providing mentorship to other engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Designing, building, and operating core services and product features from data model through API to production systems
- Setting technical direction and roadmap in collaboration with engineering leadership
- Participating in product development, working with product and design teams from concept to shipped feature
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, Go, or Rust, with a willingness to work primarily in Java
- Experience owning services in production, including data stores and deployment
- Familiarity with AWS or comparable cloud providers, Docker, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
- Experience with domain and data modeling, and the ability to adapt models as needed
