Job Summary
Owning and evolving the technical architecture for scalable vehicle modeling, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will develop high-fidelity truck dynamics models and drive statistical validation metrics to support safety case claims, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity vehicle dynamics models for various simulation domains
- Define statistical validation metrics to ensure model fidelity and support safety certification
- Collaborate with autonomy engineering teams to capture vehicle model requirements and ensure compliance with V&V standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 10+ years of experience; or Master's degree plus 7+ years; or PhD plus 3+ years
- Deep proficiency in C++, Python, ROS/ROS2, CMake, and Linux
- Strong background in physics-based modeling of ground vehicles, including dynamics and tire models
- Experience defining statistical validation metrics and robustness testing frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and contribute to technical direction within simulation and autonomy domains
