Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the design and implementation of foundational systems, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer in Customer Reliability Engineering will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of customer profile and communication services that support the e-commerce platform and in-store systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software while achieving results and enabling rapid deployment to production
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure user stories are developer-ready and facilitate agile processes
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, enhancing team productivity and technical discussions
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Software Engineering in a high-scale environment
- Proficiency in software development with languages such as Go, Python, or Java
- Deep expertise in designing and operating high-availability production architectures on cloud platforms like Google Cloud or AWS/Azure
- Experience with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana, including defining SLIs and SLOs
- Mastery of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipeline automation tools
