Staff Software Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the technical work for NodeZero's defensive agents, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will set direction alongside AI researchers, contribute production code, and architect solutions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technical vision for the workstream, guiding the team from initial concepts to deployment
- Contribute production code in modern backend languages and mentor engineers to enhance their skills and output
- Translate product goals into technical roadmaps and make informed decisions on build vs. buy vs. integrate strategies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience using modern object-oriented or functional languages
- Experience building applications on cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Deep experience with agentic or LLM-backed systems in production
- Expert proficiency in SQL and demonstrated experience designing and operating distributed systems
