Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on the lifecycle of high-quality data, the full-time Staff Software Engineer will design and build the control plane for curated data, orchestrating interdependent models and ensuring data integrity in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the control plane for curated data lifecycle, including orchestration, backfills, and recovery
• Decide on the architecture for datasets, determining whether to use models, services, or jobs
• Implement alerting and data quality signals to effectively manage incidents and maintain system reliability

Required qualifications

• Experience as a backend engineer with a strong focus on data systems or as a data engineer with solid software engineering skills
• Proven experience building or extending orchestration and scheduling systems at scale
• Familiarity with schema evolution and data correctness in production systems
• Experience with stateful stream processing in production environments
• Strong SQL and modeling skills with a deep understanding of query execution
