Job Summary
Leading agent optimization efforts, the full-time Staff Software Engineer, AI Optimization will design tools to enhance Temporal users' ability to build efficient agents while collaborating closely with team members on AI development and application patterns in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build systems for agent optimization focused on token spend and response time
- Take end-to-end ownership of new features, ensuring reliability and a great developer experience
- Collaborate with the developer community to debug issues and gather feedback on Temporal features and APIs
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- Proven experience optimizing AI systems using machine learning and systems techniques
- Fluency in multiple programming languages, including Python, TypeScript, Java, and Go
- Deep experience with concurrent programming and API design
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in production-grade software development
