Staff Software Engineer - Android

Job Summary

To support a growing mobile team, the full-time Staff Software Engineer - Android will build and maintain the native Android Bitwarden application, lead complex initiatives, and establish engineering standards while working remotely from the U.S.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert on the Android codebase, setting technical direction and standards
• Lead the design and implementation of complex initiatives that span multiple sprints or quarters
• Own and resolve complex technical problems, guiding the breakdown of large initiatives into executable phases

Required qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in developing complex Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Strong command of Android UI/UX design and architecture principles
• Experience setting technical standards and driving their adoption across a team or organization
• Familiarity with unit testing, UI testing, and snapshot testing
• Proven ability to mentor and coach other engineers
