Staff Software Engineer - Backend

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Software Engineer - Backend (Python / Typescript / Big Data / AWS / Kubernetes).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale features for REST APIs and large-scale data processing pipelines
• Architect and optimize backend services for high throughput and low-latency performance
• Mentor developers and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability across microservices

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience with a strong backend focus
• 7+ years of hands-on Python experience, particularly in APIs and large-scale data pipelines
• 3+ years working with Typescript / Node.js
• Advanced experience with AWS services and Kubernetes
• Proven experience with large datasets and distributed computing frameworks like Spark and Kafka
