Staff Software Engineer - Backend

Job Summary

To drive backend services and data platforms forward, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer - Backend will design and scale large-scale data processing pipelines and REST APIs, utilizing Python, Typescript, and AWS technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale new features for REST APIs and large-scale data processing pipelines
• Architect and optimize backend services for high throughput and low-latency performance
• Mentor developers and automate deployments using Terraform and Kubernetes-based workflows

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience with a strong backend focus
• 7+ years of hands-on Python experience, particularly with APIs and large-scale data pipelines
• 3+ years working with Typescript / Node.js
• Advanced experience with AWS services and deploying workloads on Kubernetes
• Proven experience with large datasets and distributed computing using frameworks like Spark or Kafka
