Job Summary

Owning the technical strategy and architecture for the FinHub Tooling platform, the full-time Staff Software Engineer, Backend will drive an AI-first approach to internal tooling while building high-reliability systems that enhance operational visibility across multiple teams in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the FinHub Tooling platform, making key decisions on system design, reliability, and performance
• Drive an AI-first approach to internal tooling, identifying opportunities for intelligent automation to enhance operational efficiency
• Lead cross-functional alignment to transform ambiguous initiatives into scoped technical roadmaps each quarter

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on designing and building fault-tolerant systems at scale
• Demonstrated ownership of technical strategy and roadmap for a platform, including making significant architectural trade-offs
• Proven ability to drive execution on complex initiatives across multiple teams
• Experience in elevating team technical quality through mentorship and design reviews
• Background in architecting internal tooling or operational systems serving multiple user groups
