Job Summary

Owning the technical strategy and architecture for the FinHub Tooling platform, the full-time Staff Software Engineer, Backend will drive an AI-first approach to internal tooling and build high-reliability systems that enhance operational visibility for multiple teams, all while working remotely with occasional in-person collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the FinHub Tooling platform, making key decisions on system design, reliability, and performance
• Drive an AI-first approach to internal tooling, identifying opportunities for intelligent automation to enhance operational efficiency
• Lead cross-functional alignment to transform high-impact initiatives into scoped technical roadmaps each quarter

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on designing and building fault-tolerant, highly reliable systems
• Demonstrated ownership of technical strategy and roadmap for a platform, including making impactful architectural trade-offs
• Proven ability to execute on complex initiatives across multiple teams, fostering alignment among diverse stakeholders
• Experience architecting internal tooling or operational systems that cater to multiple user groups with competing requirements
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly to improve workflow efficiency while maintaining human oversight
