Job Summary

Owning the technical strategy and architecture for the FinHub Tooling platform, the full-time Staff Software Engineer, Backend will drive an AI-first approach to internal tooling while enhancing system reliability and performance for multiple teams in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the FinHub Tooling platform, making key decisions on system design and performance
• Drive an AI-first approach to internal tooling, transforming operational efficiency through intelligent automation
• Build high-reliability systems that serve Engineering, Customer Experience, Risk, and Legal teams, including search and admin workflows

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on designing fault-tolerant systems at scale
• Demonstrated ownership of technical strategy and roadmap for a platform or service area
• Proven ability to drive complex initiatives across multiple teams and build alignment among stakeholders
• Experience in mentoring engineers and improving engineering processes
• Background in architecting internal tooling or operational systems for diverse user groups
