Staff Software Engineer (C++)
Job Summary
Delivering safe and efficient embedded software for Radar, Lidar, and IMU sensors, the full-time Staff Software Engineer (C++) will design, implement, and test high-performance C++ code while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote or onsite setting.
Key responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for sensing systems, ensuring safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with the Software Architect to produce high-quality, maintainable C++ code
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in design and code reviews
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field with 7+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years of experience
- Strong experience in developing embedded applications and systems using C++
- Proficiency in network communication concepts and protocols
- Experience with multi-processor SoCs or similar embedded processors
- Familiarity with Embedded RTOS such as FreeRTOS and/or Embedded Linux
