Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Staff Software Engineer, CJIS Certified, who will build next-generation AI-powered investigative products, focusing on enhancing the Nightshift agent's capabilities through production code, testing, and backend system design in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship production systems to improve agent reliability and performance
• Design and implement backend systems that support AI products on a large-scale data platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence architecture and drive technical solutions for high-impact problems

Required qualifications

• Strong backend/software engineering fundamentals with experience in shipping production code
• Proficiency in AI systems, LLMs, and agentic workflows in production environments
• Familiarity with tools such as LangChain, OpenAI SDK, or similar technologies
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, databases, and backend system design
• Ability to work in ambiguous and fast-paced startup environments
