Staff Software Engineer, Data

Job Summary

Owning the design and delivery of core data platform components, the full-time remote Staff Software Engineer, Data will develop data normalization, schema mapping, validation, and enrichment processes while leveraging AI-assisted development practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the data normalization and distribution pipeline for a new intelligent data warehouse
• Drive technical architecture decisions and establish coding standards for the team
• Build evaluation infrastructure for AI-generated outputs to ensure reliability in financial data contexts

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record at the Staff level
• Hands-on experience with data pipeline engineering, including schema design and ETL/ELT patterns
• Production experience with LLMs, including prompt design and model evaluation
• Fluency in AI-assisted development workflows and strong opinions on their effective use
• Experience with AWS data infrastructure, with Redshift experience being a plus
