Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Java) for EventDB - Scalable Columnar Database.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead software development, code review, and technical specification building
Support on-call rotation, troubleshoot outage incidents, and fix security issues
Collaborate with team members, attend sync meetings, and provide daily standup updates

Required Qualifications:

Experience in designing and implementing high-scale distributed systems using Java or similar languages
Solid foundation in horizontal scaling, data algorithms, and modern databases such as DynamoDB and Redis
Experience with SaaS processing cloud scale data and knowledge of relevant algorithms in the literature
Familiarity with CAP theorem tradeoffs and modern Java development practices
Proficiency in JVM garbage collection and tuning parameters
