Job Summary
As the Linux kernel authority for the runtime enforcement layer of the Identity Security Platform, the full-time Staff Software Engineer - Linux will design and manage eBPF programs, enforce security policies in the kernel, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system security on Linux endpoints in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and own eBPF programs and BPF LSM hooks for real-time policy enforcement in the kernel
- Drive down enforce-mode latency and extend enforcement capabilities into containers and namespaces
- Mentor engineers on Linux systems and eBPF, while ensuring high standards in system reliability and security
Required qualifications
- 8+ years in systems-level software engineering with expertise in Linux kernel development and eBPF
- Deep understanding of Linux kernel internals, including scheduling, memory management, and networking stack
- Hands-on experience with eBPF for security enforcement and proficiency in writing programs that pass BPF_PROG_LOAD
- Familiarity with container runtime internals, including namespaces, cgroups, and seccomp
- Demonstrated experience in AI-driven development practices and systems design patterns
