Staff Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Leading a team of engineers, the full-time Staff Systems Engineer will design, build, and support technical infrastructure remotely, while contributing to foundational infrastructure as code and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads configuration, debugging, and support for IT solutions, including technology rollouts and system software setups
- Researches business trends and develops strategic technology recommendations to improve infrastructure and operational efficiency
- Collaborates with product teams to understand needs, supports technology architecture design, and drives root cause analysis for incidents
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in systems engineering or related roles
- Experience with z/OS DB2 administration and SQL
- Understanding of RACF Security and DB2 performance tuning
- Familiarity with Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes
