Job Summary
A company is looking for a Claims Specialist to manage non-complex workers' compensation claims under supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive claims, confirm policy coverage, and acknowledge claims
- Determine the validity and compensability of claims, establishing reserves and authorizing payments
- Communicate claim status to customers, claimants, and clients while adhering to guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience
- Minimum of 1 year of industry experience, preferably in claims management
- State Certification as an Experienced Examiner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
