Job Summary
Evaluating commercial appraisal reports for regulatory compliance and technical adequacy, the full-time State Certified General Appraiser will perform appraisal reviews and provide valuation guidance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Independently perform commercial appraisal reviews and related valuation activities, applying professional judgment to evaluate reports for compliance and credibility
- Collaborate with appraisers to resolve technical valuation issues and ensure appraisal reports meet applicable laws and bank requirements
- Provide valuation guidance to bank staff regarding appraisal-related matters and contribute to the continuous improvement of the bank's valuation processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5 or more years of experience appraising and/or reviewing various commercial property types as a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser
- State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser Certification
- Working knowledge of commercial real estate appraisal principles and regulatory requirements
- Experience in real estate collateral valuation and risk management within a regulated environment is preferred
