Job Summary
Serving as a subject matter expert in real estate appraisal, the full-time remote State Certified Review Appraiser will review residential and commercial appraisals, ensuring accuracy and supportability while providing valuation recommendations to decision-making committees.
Key responsibilities
- Review and assess the accuracy, completeness, and methodology of residential and commercial appraisals and related valuation reports
- Develop independent valuation recommendations based on appraisals and supporting market evidence, presenting findings to various committees
- Provide technical guidance to junior analysts and maintain consistent appraisal review standards and quality control measures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in real estate appraisal, appraisal review, or collateral valuation
- Strong knowledge of sales comparison, income capitalization, and cost approaches to valuation
- State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser credential
- Experience with distressed or complex real estate properties
