Job Summary
Managing state-specific lobbying campaigns, the full-time Regional Lead - Government & Industry Affairs will oversee external lobbyists, develop relationships with state government officials, and deliver actionable intelligence, all while working remotely from anywhere in the US.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary accountability manager for all external lobbyists within the assigned regional portfolio, setting performance expectations and conducting regular assessments
- Translate corporate policy positions into tailored state-specific advocacy messaging, adapting to local political dynamics
- Develop and maintain relationships with state legislators, regulatory agencies, and other key stakeholders within the region
Required qualifications
- 7-12+ years of experience in state government, lobbying, or legislative affairs with exposure to multiple state legislatures
- Demonstrated experience managing external vendors or contract lobbyists against defined deliverables
- Working knowledge of gaming regulation, sweepstakes law, or consumer protection policies
- Strong political credibility with established relationships in the assigned regional portfolio
- Experience in multi-state lobbying roles within fast-moving industries such as technology or gaming
